Peter Gleeson selected AVH to build his house on the basis of their standing within the local community and their reputation to deliver high quality homes.

The Architect-designed house for Peter Gleeson consists of a 2 bedroom plus study dwelling, of approx. 170m2 on a raised timber floor with pitched roof, rendered walls and extensive decking.

The entire project was constructed and delivered in 24 weeks.

The dwelling has a very high Energy Rating featuring Hebel walls, extensive floor, wall and roof insulation and double glazing.

We met Simon and Matthew Crisp on site before commencing work on the design.  The initial “meet and greet” was instrumental in opening very effective communications and giving us total confidence in their ability to deliver on our expectations.

Throughout the building process, we dealt directly with Simon and Matthew who kept us totally informed of progress on site and expected programme of work to be done.

The whole “decision making process” was streamlined thanks to the clear and effective communication between parties, including key sub-contractors.

The quality of their workmanship and the management and selection of quality subbies, delivered a product beyond any expectations – the finishes, the materials, the attention to detail was of the highest quality.

It was an absolute pleasure working throughout the delivery process with AVH. 

On the basis of our experience with the Gleeson House, we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending AVH as our Domestic Builder of choice, particularly in the unique Alpine Valley Region.  (We only wish they operated in Melbourne!).
